Loudoun County Sheriff’s deputies responding to reports of gunfire in Ashburn found Mia Bieniemy, 57, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was transported to a hospital where she remained in stable condition Monday.
Elijah Zion Bieniemy faces charges of malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and discharge of a firearm inside a dwelling. He’s being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

Eric Bieniemy, Kansas City’s offensive coordinator, attended the team’s practice in St. Joseph, Missouri, earlier Sunday before the shooting occurred. He was not present for Monday’s workout.
The Chiefs acknowledged the incident in a brief statement to the Associated Press. “The club is aware of the incident involving Eric Bieniemy’s family,” the team said. “Out of respect for their privacy, we won’t have a comment at this time.”
