Plymouth County prosecutors argued Clancy planned the killings deliberately and knew exactly what she was doing. They insist the nation’s healthcare system is “not on trial here” — Clancy is.
The prosecution’s case rests on evidence of premeditation: the timing, the method, her actions before and after. They’re asking jurors to hold her criminally responsible for three murders, regardless of what psychiatric labels her doctors might apply.
